This is deliberate. The "+" character should only be converted into a space when dealing with data encoded with the "application/x-www-form-urlencoded" mime type. See the discussion near the end of issue #42.

Thanks for the swift reply.
That explains it and I guess I should have searched harder before making an issue.
Are there anywhere where these sort of changes are noted for each version? I would consider both (the one in issue #42 the the + one) to be breaking changes (although in relation to the standard they are bug fixes), so it would be nice to have a list or a way to find the changes for a given version when upgrading.

It might be an idea to create a BREAKING.md file or CHANGES.md file that contains any breaking changes between versions. I'll see about creating one.
