During the development of these tips, we decided to make sure not to go beyond what WCAG says. We need to ensure consistency with WCAG, otherwise we risk confusing and frustrating people.
I'm not sure about positioning to the right for languages that are left-to-right - my understanding is that some people with screen magnification may find these hard to find. At least this is what I recall from our discussions for this tip.
Personally I would favor not re-opening discussion on completed tips until we have the next sets of tips published but I don't feel strongly about this - I'm happy with what the group decides on this...

Happy to discuss once we all meet next week. It's been so long now that I would need to go back to my notes to jog my memory, and unfortunately, I have absolutely zero bandwidth leading to CSUN. But it would come back really quickly if we held a side session on Monday.
