If you need to react to changes to the reactive object, you need to provide the {deep: true} option to watch
I don't think the return value of reactive is a watchsource. As shown in https://vue-composition-api-rfc.netlify.com/api.html#watch, it's necessary to wrap into a function. So doing Vue.watch(() => exampleReactive, () => console.log('foo2'), { deep: true }); makes sense
