Thank you for this report. I don't really understand your use of hiera, as the postfix class has no $hash, $config or $virtual parameters. Can you explain a bit more what you're doing?

Sorry about that. I created a profile class using create_resources to declare postfix, postfix::virtual, postfix::hash, and postfix::config. That is where that hiera is coming from. Something like this.

 class postfix_factory(
   $virtual  = hiera(postfix::virtual, false),
   $hash     = hiera(postfix::hash, false),
   $config   = hiera(postfix::config, false)
 ){

   if $virtual {
     create_resources('postfix::virtual', $virtual)
   }
   ...
   ...
   ...
 }
