I guess we could rephrase this as "missing support for regex-maps" ? I'm not sure the best approach is to squeeze regexp support in code which assumes only hash-maps are used. As we can see in postconf(1) there are much more lookup table types than only hash and regexp. It seems better to me to provide a way to specify which type of lookup table we want to use. What do you think ?
In any case, could you paste an example of puppet code which is causing this problem ? Also, please post the patch you made to the lens.

I looked over the man page for the regexp tables and it's more in-depth than my simple change (I added support for / and + in the word type).
After thinking about it a little more after posting this I think my best answer is to just include a file for what I want vs. trying to use augeas.
It would be great to have a lens that could update the regexp table files though.
