Hi,
I tried this solution and it doesn't work. As far as I remember I already tried this yesterday => no way!
So I go on searching for a solution as it would good for users not to be disappointed by our distro of choice on the first reboot ;o)
By the way do you know who is developing the installer (installer.sh) for the distribution so that we can exchange on the subject and try to solve the issue? Thank you.

did you restart the lightdm service after changing the configuration? because it worked for me in the live iso (#354), and doing a "local" install should copy that file over so it's the same as what's in the live iso for the first reboot into the installed system.

this won't change the keyboard layout but will put a menu in the top right that lets you select your layout. there's also this possible solution that will hard-code the keymap
