Hello
I have done som new test. This time with ovftool version VMware ovftool 4.3.0 (build-7948156)
and nsx-t ovf for version 4.2 nsx-unified-appliance-2.4.0.0.0.12456291.ova
vSphere Client version 6.7.0.20000
VMware ESXi, 6.5.0, 7526125
I am sorry to report that i have the same issue, the ip address is not set during the ovf deplay

During VM boot, i get
ifup@eth0
[FAILED] Faild to start Raise netwrok interfaces.
See ´systemctl status networking.service for details.

Looking through my playbook one more time i find that I have specified a invalid subnetmask in the "netmask" parameter
netmask: "255.255.225.0"
255.255.225.0 is not a valid mask. but 255.255.255.0 is
My bad 😊
