Play/Pause as the shake action is useless about vanilla HOT 10 CLOSED

Yes: Vanilla Music will not get the shake if android terminated it. The only way to receive them would be a persistent service.

So what should we do? Should the feature be removed?

Renaming the option to just "Pause" would be fine with me.

Noticed such a behaviour too and I would like to see it fixed. Also it was kind of surprise for me to find out that Vanilla gets terminated each time it was paused. The fact that app preserves it's state during play/pause cycle while it is really being " terminated" and then revived again is frustrating, are you sure there is no missunderstanding here? Please forgive me my language if I sounded rude.

As far as I understand patch mentioned above doesn't remove 'play' feature but instead it allows Vanilla to keep listening for sensor events even when paused, which is great! Can't wait to get my hands on next build. Thank you, adrian-bl!

Well, it worked, but after playing around with it for quite a time I have to admit, that it is still nearly useless, this time due to relatively low upper limit of shakeaction threshold. Current maximum value is 15 (meters per square second?) which triggers action if you step a bit harder during walking or running. Maybe increasing this value to 30 (approximately 3g?) will do the job? This should be an easy fix.
