eix-update --repo-name/-r repo about eix HOT 4 CLOSED

Here, this option works without any problem. Do you use it correctly?
It gets two parameters, and the first is the path (exactly as shown by eix-update). For instance, if eix-update shows you something like
[0] 'gentoo' /usr/gentoo/ (cache: [...]
[1] 'mv' /var/lib/layman/mv (cache: [...]
then
eix-update -r /usr/portage/ gentoo-original -r /var/lib/layman/mv mv-overlay
(note that the first ends with a slash, the second not, as in the eix-update output) will rename the two repositories (in the eix database) into gentoo-original and mv-overlay, respectively.

That two arguments is not mention in the help message...

I am interesdted on updating specific overlay/repository. -x|--exclude-overlay OVERLAY does not work as well, well, should be it 2 arguments as well? This is not mentioned in the help message as well.

I guess adding '-r --repo /path/ name' in the help message would help to add more clarity. I guess the other switches need that kind of examples... as well.

--exclude-overlay takes only one argument: The path (Not the name, since the name need not necessarily be unique).

The help message is only a reminder; arguments of options are never mentioned. The "true" documentation of eix is its manpage.
