I haven't looked into the issue at all, but is it possible that this is actually an issue with Docker itself?
Have you tried doing the HTTP requests "by hand" (that is, without the help of the docker gem) and seeing if you can reproduce the problem that way?

Hey @ulyssecarion, thanks for that blazing fast response!
You're right... my assumption was to look at docker-api or excon for the problem.
I tested the Remote API with the following ruby code:
require "excon"
require "json"
def req
body = {
'Image' => 'busybox',
'Cmd' => ['ls']
}
response = Excon.post('unix:///containers/create',
:socket => '/var/run/docker.sock',
:body => body.to_json,
:headers => { "Content-Type" => "application/json" }
)
puts response.body.inspect
end
t1 = Thread.new { req }
t2 = Thread.new { req }
t1.join
t2.join
and got the following response:
"The database file is locked: database is locked\n"
"{\"Id\":\"f02251157006\"}"
As it turns out, it seems to be a problem with the remote api.
This issue just popped up.
Sorry for the alarm and thanks for the work on this great gem, everyone!
