Reopening this issue as I believe it to be separate from Issue #29 because Issue #29 is talking about the Xreal renderer, but I believe that this person is talking about the Vanilla renderer.
I have been experiencing problems with cg_shadows 2 on vanilla renderer. It makes the game completely unplayable because you will be unable to see anything due to weird overdraw.
