It's likely expected unfortunately. Microsoft changed their sources for previous builds, breaking this behavior. You can try with uno-check --pre, it'll upgrade to a more recent build of the .NET 6 workloads.

That solution here seems to help only partially. It did install something, but the check is still failing. Any news on this?

Hm, well - the checks are failing but I can use my paired mac again. So it seems to finally be solved for me for the moment. :)

Saw similar problem few weeks ago and I solved it by doing a REPAIR of VS in the installer. That's crap, but it solved my problem.
