Handling of 'resources' folder about gradle-testsets-plugin HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm observing the same issue and it's driving me crazy. But, as you noticed yourself, when run on the command line with Gradle, all is fine and it works. I think this is an IDEA issue and you should open on issue in their tracker. I will be happy to cast my vote in case you do, just add a link.

There actually is a ticket already, and a fix was bound to come with IDEA 15, but now it's rescheduled to 16..., more here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-138076

As we are using the test-sets plugin, all we need is this:

sourceSets {
    if(System.properties.'idea.active') {
        main {
            resources.srcDir file('src/integrationTest/resources')
        }
    }
}

It seems that starting with some 2016 version IDEA is not calling the Gradle "idea" plugin at all anymore, effectively stopping any Gradle plugin from modifying the IDEA project or module files.

However, IDEA support should work fine with the "separate module per source set" option.
