@hundsim I wasn't able to reproduce your first and second issue. See the Interactive Demo. What browser are you using?

@ultimatedelman I've tested the code in both FF and Chrome, on mac.
- I've now set a min-height value and that solves it for me.
- I'm SORRY, I meant the action to cut (cmd/ctrl + X) doesn't shrink the textarea. Deleting/backspacing does that correctly indeed.
- To clarify what i meant with this, here is the demo pre-populated with text: http://jsfiddle.net/HrnHb/31/

@hundsim thanks for this. I will see if I can get to this sometime. You are more than welcome to contribute, though ;)

This plugin seems really nice and I'm very interested in using it in my project. However, the issues described here seem like critical fixes to me.... I don't think I can start using the plugin yet as it is! :-(
Really need to be able to Ctrl-x cut text out and have it shrink right away. Plus, when loading an edit page for a pre-existing object, I need to be able to pre-populate the text in the textarea....

Just pushed a fix to support ctrl+x. I am closing this issue as it pertains mostly to that. If you would like to fix another issue, please open a separate issue and I'll get to that too.
