Thank you for the detailed post.
I replicated same steps using your values.yaml
from above and everything worked. Here's my Dashboard logs:
│ time="Jun 09 15:53:22" level=info msg="Connecting to MongoDB: [tyk-mongo-mongodb.tyk.svc.cluster.local:27017]" │
│ time="Jun 09 15:53:22" level=info msg="Mongo connection established"
As you can see, the Dashboard container correctly reads the mongo and redis URLS and passwords from the values.yaml
In the logs you provided, I can see that the Dashboard is using the default Mongo connection string. So the next step is to figure out why your Dashboard container is not inheriting the Mongo URL that you correctly defined in the values.yaml
.
is it possible that you modified a values.yaml in a directory other than where you installed the Helm chart?
Did your helm install look like this?
helm install tyk-pro ./tyk-pro -n tyk --wait
edit: also, are you using an up to date revision of this repo? it's possible there were breaking changes between this latest version of master
and an older version, which we're aware of and working on preventing in the future.

Spoke to the OP, he's confirmed that the values.yaml wasn't being read
