I have left the compiled files out of the master branch because it makes the pull request process more complicated since diffs against those files aren't usually very useful.
Can't you just include the files as specified in the readme (http://tscanlin.github.io/tocbot/#include-js)?
I could maybe be talked into including them, but whats your use case first? Why is it helpful to have the compiled files in the master branch?

Just checked out via npm, but there is no assets directory, so that readme instruction might be out of date. The tocbot.js in src/js seems like a partial build file.
Could we get a full tocbot.js in an npm checkout?
