I like the idea, however let's not pollute the votes for channels with implicit votes for files. If we want implicit votes for files, which by itself is used by many applications (think last.fm), lets create a new message which allows for this. I.e. do a Open2Edit v2.0

I also like the idea, but I think we should keep track of VLC info in another way, not by mixing it with votes, we should be able to distinguish explicit and implicit votes.
