Hello,

The new version Traefik v2.11 requires go1.22.

package slices is not in GOROOT (/usr/lib/go-1.18/src/slices)

You are using go1.18.

You should update your dev env:

  • force pull the images used to build Traefik.
  • update your local Go to use Go1.22.

This is a regression from 2.10.x.

Traefik v2.10 requires go1.21.

Hm, unfortunately golang 1.22 isn't yet available in the Ubuntu repository, and pre-releases seem broken somehow. I don't know much about the Go toolchain. Can you perhaps make it so all build happens inside a container, so building from source doesn't require anything besides Docker itself?

You can follow this doc to install Go https://go.dev/doc/install

If you want to use v2.11.0 before the official image availability, you can use this one: experimental-v2.11

The official image of v2.11.0 will be available in a few hours.

I think I'll stay with 2.10.7 then, until the Distros have caught up. Or I'll write my own Dockerfile that doesn't make any assumptions about the host system. I close this issue, thanks for clarification!
