It seems that this was fixed in the last version of traccar-client.
I'll keep testing for a few more days and let you know.

This one is definitely fixed. I tried several real world situations running tracker while using many different programs (including gps navigation software). Not only traccar client didn't crash even once but it keep successfully reporting its location.
