That's mostly down to your implementation of the state of each draggable item - when the list gets updated upstream, all the components are destroyed and rebuilt, so if you're updating the component upstream for each keypress, then the input field will lose focus.
The way that I would get around this is to add a state to the draggable component and update that state on each keypress. Then propagate the text value upstream when the input field (or the component itself) loses focus, using the onBlur prop.
