Interestingly, this bug happens when the shell script is bash, but not if it is zsh. I made a few updates to the test script, including a test for zsh.

This appears to be a limitation or bug in bash, not an issue with plenv. I added a test case that illustrates the underlying issue, without plenv. I have also confirmed that none of the plenv shims or scripts are even executed when the bug is exercised.

Also, just FYI, I am also seeing this issue on FreeBSD.
