Is it possible at the moment to easily and dynamically choose the name of the attribute inside the XML?
Hi @coruscant187, I'm not sure that I fully understand your question, but I would have thought that you could add your own custom logic into the constructor body of the Student
class to initialize the name
field with an appropriate value.

Sorry, I was a little unclear with the description of the problem.
I don't mean the actual name attribute of the Student class but rather the name that will be used inside the XML for the book attribute.
Currently only the constant 'Book' is used by @annotation.XmlElement(name: 'Book')
I would like to dynamically display the name based on the type of the book object if that is even possible.

In that case you could potentially create subclasses each with a book
field with an appropriate XML element name.
