Support clear about gitsh HOT 2 CLOSED

We're planning to add some non-git commands, but with a prefix (probably : or \) to avoid collisions with git aliases. A prefixed command might not quite satisfy your habit.

Readline has a clear-screen command which is bound by default to ctrl+l in emacs mode (and can be bound in vi mode by adding a line to ~/.inputrc) which might be more useful in this case since it will work consistently in gitsh and other shells.

Cool, thanks for the info -- I had forgotten about the \-prefix plan. I should probably work on swapping my clear habit for Ctrl-l anyway, since that works more consistently overall.
