Capybara::TimeoutError in random time about capybara-webkit HOT 7 CLOSED

I'm experiencing the same nondeterminism. It appears to happen when my system is already under heavy pressure from other running processes. Maybe this needs to be an adjustable/configurable item in the driver?

Okay. Reason I ask is I'm getting the same error. The real issue, I believe, is that the gem is timing out starting the Webkit server. This is also periodic for me -- not quite half the time, though, more like 1 out of 10 times. I don't know why this happens, but I think if the timeout were increased a bit that would solve the problem for me at least.

just had the same problem as described above. Seemed to by the webkit_server that was running 20 times. Probably didn't exit well. After killing all the /.rbenv/versions/1.9.2-p290/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/capybara-webkit-0.7.2/bin/webkit_server problem seemed to be solved

We've increased the timeout for starting the server. You can configure how long capybara waits before timing out using default_wait_time: http://rubydoc.info/gems/capybara/Capybara#default_wait_time-class_method
