No groups imported in openldap about redmine_ldap_sync HOT 4 CLOSED

fixed it with

user_dn = user.login
to
user_dn = "uid=" + user.login + "," + self.base_dn

in auth_source_ldap_patch.rb

from redmine_ldap_sync.

I'll add some output to the rake task.

Meanwhile, it seems like it's either not finding the groups or not managing to related the groups with the users.

I think the problem is the memberid attribute.
On your ldap a adria's uid probably is adri.stapleton. Is it?

The memberid attribute should match the entries on the members attribute.
As so, it should be a person's attribute with the value uid=adria.stapleton,ou=people,dc=xyz,dc=com.

If you change the member id attribute to dn it might start working, provided you have that attribute on person.
