I'm fairly certain that this is a limitation/bug in the SDK. It seems like I
noticed this before I ever started
working with cocos2d.
Actually, after doing some googling, it's something others have run into. One
person in this thread suggests a
workaround, although I'm not sure if it works or not.

The device works OK... so, yes, this is a simulator only problem, and it is not
a
cocos2d specific bug.
WONT-FIX since it is an Apple bug.
