thanks! i’ll merge and take a look at updating this library after the thanksgiving break.
as you likely guessed i’m not at Twitter anymore or doing active development with it’s APIs but i will see what i can do to address some issues like this.

Oh, my bad, I assumed this wasn't maintained anymore, sorry (by the unmerged PRs).
I'll nuke the fork if this is merged into master.
We're actually in the process of creating a modern twitter API client that is framework agnostic (similar to this library) so this PR is/was just a stopgap (as we currently extend this package).
