Can you try to enable error messages in this plugin by setting displayErrors in the plugin config to true. Maybe you’ll geht an error message.

Yeah, but there are sometimes cases where git produces errors and we noticed that it’s most of the times more distracting for clients than not showing errors.
Have you looked up the serverlogs? In case of such an error you should have errors in your php/webserver logs.

i'm not gonna pretend i know more about this than you do lol, you'd know best how distracting/useful it is
unfortunately, dreamhost does not allow us to access those logs.

Closing this for now. It might be fixed in the new v5 version we’ll release in the next weeks where we switched the git library.
