2019 dark theme and 2023 dark theme are very similar with the minor differences being slight color differences and border radius differences, my theme uses a custom dark theme I made awhile back so it feels consistent with light theme side of things, as the old theme never officially had a dark theme prior to the light and dark themes being added around September 23 2019.

However if enough people are interested in the idea like this I will definitely make it an option in the future.

I feel like the 2019 dark theme looks better than the one currently used by the extension, it simply has a better contrast and visually makes more sense
Alternatively, you could simply swap the background and the background colors, which would also make the dark theme look as good
