I believe you're right for the commonly-expressed US date.
Flipping the order of day_month and month_day doesn't cause any tests to fail as well which is great (I guess). I suspect this was intended to be flipped, but was copy-pasted from elsewhere.
Would you like to submit a PR for it? if not that's fine and I can get it in a couple of minutes.
