Actually the cheat search functionality already implemented basically covers 
this. 
An additional option to display the variable while playing will need to be 
coded.

Selective memory watching is pretty critical for optimized TAS making so this 
should
be high on the todo list.

However, this can be done quite easily and efficiently through Lua.  Maybe Lua 
should
be higher priority, since it would mean a special memory watching feature would 
not
be necessary.
