Thanks for the report! Unfortunately I can't reproduce it on my device. Is it possible that this behavior is related to your keyboard and language? The input field makes interesting underscores that cover spaces, maybe your keyboard removes them automatically as you type

The keyboard I use is the Android Keyboard (AOSP) that's shipped with /e/os. The problem doesn't occur when text correction suggestions aren't enabled but it does when they are enabled, independently of the language. I tried other keyboards and the bug didn't occur but they didn't have text correction at all.
When text correction is enabled, it underlines the current word but when I delete the first character of the word, the letter isn't deleted from the suggestion and the underlining shifts to the left and deletes the character that was there and there's this weird interaction when I press space after only deleting the first character.
