Hello Jozhden,
the trick works on all PHP 8 versions, it might be an issue on the way the server configuration holds the 500 errors.
If that is the case, you might be able to exploit it by adding the option --time_based_attack True to exploit it via a timing attack.
You can also tell me what you used to setup your Windows web server so I can try to reproduce the issue locally.
