  • 👋 Hi, I’m Chao Bian, a PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto and Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. My current research focuses on using IoT sensors and AI for health monitoring in a smart home.

  • 🏆 I have been navigating entrepreneurship in Digital Health and won several awards such as RBC Graduate Fellowship for Entrepreneurship in AI, AGE-WELL Emerging Entrepreneur Award and University of Toronto Hatchery Demo Day Winner.
  • 📑 I have hands-on experience in drafting and filing US and Canadian patents with one patent granted and another one filed.
  • 🏊‍♂️ My favorite hobby is swimming. I have been self training swimming for 20 years.
