You will have to create a connection in surrealist to connect to the database you are running. Surrealist doesn't know how to connect to the database you are running so you will have to tell it. If your using the sandbox option in surrealist your using the surrealist bundled version of the database which is a separate instance.

Can you tell me the step by step procedure for that ?
I have done till the below
To run the application
- Opened Command Prompt in Admin mode, and wrote "Surreal Start", which starts the surrealdb.
- In VS Code, I ran cargo run for the rust project.
- I open up the surrealist app.
What next I should do to see the data in surreal UI ?

Next to the search bar you can see a big + button. Click that, click add connection, then fill the connection with the right information: WS,localhost:8080, auth method: root. Fill in the username, password, namespace and database.
