Keep current heading (without making line first) about guidancesteering HOT 11 CLOSED

There will be a method for A + Heading.. it's not yet implemented. But thats probably want you want.

So: settings point A and than type in the degrees.

Well by design this makes no sense, since you're just driving in a direction. You can achieve the same by just not steering at all. Since the white dotted line is the current direction of your vehicle.. it's not fixed.

Hm, my direction seem to shift from uneven ground though. I.e. with a harvester for example, I can have a straight edge, and follow it perfectly for a distance, but then suddenly a bump is hit or something and it goes off course 🤔

Guess what I mean is "lock steering to current compass direction/heading" or something along those lines?

Or, like right now, when I'm running over lines of straw, some places the lines have larger mounds of straw, which also seem to be able to nudge my tractor off course. When I look at the degree number in the minimap I can see it wiggle around as the tractor is being affected by ground unevenness.

Maybe you should have a look at the VCA Addon from Mogli. There you can lock your vehicle on the desired direction and it will not go off course because off bumps or hills.
It sounds like that fits more to what you are looking for.

@Aceone1 If it's Mogli12/VehicleControlAddon, that seems to be for improving keyboard steering? I'm using an xbox controller. 🤔

Since it's a mod, you can, of course, disable everything you don't want in its ingame settings. Would be nice if you'd look a bit further than the name.

@Alagoss I did, and all I'm reading about is keyboard steering, but I'll check it out tonight and see what it looks like.
