I've try to change /var/snap/samba4-manager/current/ but this file is overwritten at every restart, in fact at the top of the config file is specified:

# Auto-generated, don't modify.

So, where admin could customize "manager.cfg"? :-|

Sorry, I didn't look at that snap in a while.

Doing snap info samba4-manager shows me:

  To install:
   - snap install samba4-manager
   - snap set samba4-manager domain=YOUR-DOMAIN
  
  The web server will be running on port 8080.

So this suggests that you're never meant to directly edit manager.cfg, you should just do that snap set instead which will write a new file with the correct domain for you.

It doesn't need a standalone LDAP server, it uses samba4 which itself uses a built-in LDAP server.
