It needs a Typechecker workaround. That should be en easy one.

Thanks for the feedback @Acaccia
It blocking for clarinet since it makes the BNS boot contract crash

@hugocaillard Is there more context? What is the complete code? Because this runs fine with the expected result:
#[test]
fn function_optional_arg() {
crosscheck(
r#"
(define-private (update-zonefile-and-props (revoked-at (optional uint)))
true
)
(define-public (name-update)
(begin
(update-zonefile-and-props none)
(ok true)
)
)
"#,
Ok(None),
)
}
from clarity-wasm.
No there is not other context. I just updated to the latest version and still get the error.
Even with just this code:
(define-private (update-zonefile-and-props (revoked-at (optional uint)))
true
)
(update-zonefile-and-props none)
Invalid input WebAssembly code at offset 11701: type mismatch: expected i64, found i32))
Can you try compiling the whole bns contract?

Same result here, both from the small snippet and the full contract. Crosscheck gives us the expected result.

Seems like it came from some outdated compilation artefact. The problem did not reoccur on a fresh clone of the clarinet repo where the issue originated.
