That's odd. None of the commands should call puppet.

Try this: Edit tools/confidence_test.sh so that the PATH variable is correct for your system, then run it:

cd blackbox
vi tools/confidence_test.sh
tools/confidence_test.sh

Does it complete without error?

What OS are you running? What is the output of "gpg --version"?

I was able to reproduce the problem and fix it. Turns out to be left-over code that was doing "$CHGRP puppet $file" and CHGRP wasn't defined. I've removed the line entirely as that isn't needed any more (if it is, you should do your own chgrp'ing).
