Hm, i'm trying to replicate this and can't, on chrome or firefox (both macos).
Open a dashboard, no changes, navigate away (home), no prompt.
Open a dashboard, change a template variable (resolution), navigate away(home) no prompt.
Same as above but instead of going home, clicking "back" in my browser.
???

Similar issue in mma
Where there's a missing value that gets autopopulated later. I checked in the datasource though, and we already have:

Could be a different variable missing though.
