As I understand your situation, logout happens on client side, so server don't know about cookie invalidation. And it's the problem.
But, you could create an controller, that you'll call before client side logout. This controller should remove existing token from database. At this case, on next login, it going to be updated with a new value.
PS Btw, I hope I'll find a way to handle this situation by the plugin, but don't know how yet.
