The fix applies to Literal blocks (::), but not Inline Literals (``). There are times I use the Inline Literals to refer to options or to list options. I have not yet tried the Option List or plain text, but I will tomorrow and reply.

The only time '--' does not become an emdash in pdf is when it is in literal blocks. Is there any way you, Georg, can fix this behavior so that the double hypens always remain in pdf? If there needs to be formatting for the '--' to remain, that is, it can't be done in plain text, then is it possible to fix the Options List and Inline Literals so that the '--' remains in the pdf? Thank you.
