@hbushouse Currently the only reason to create a new model is to track meta data info from the original exposure.
Also, the term "slit" is really not correct; it is more like "exposure", since the whole model represents one slit, or source.

@hbushouse I have created a new model: MultiExposure (instructions on using sent by email).
However, a question: How FITS-compatible are we supposed to be. I can place the meta info of the source exposure files into separate HDU's, or just leave them in the ASDF extension. Is there any preference?
