The current version does have issues running rootless. I'm working on a solution and hope to release an updated module in the near future. The new implementation will "enable-linger" through loginctl for a rootless user and run the container as a systemd user service. This will also require rootless users to be declared as puppet "User" resources with at least 'uid', 'gid', and 'home' attributes defined.

Version 0.2.1 of the module is now published on forge and updates the rootless implementation. Resolving this issue.
