Thanks for reporting the issue. Sorry for the breakage.
I have reverted the signal-desktop snap in the store to revision 301 which was before the most recent changes. This works. snap refresh signal-desktop should get you working again.

You're right.. it is probably because in the meantime I had removed the snap and installed the version from signal.org... However, I just copied back ~/snap/signal-desktop/301 from a backup and relinked and it is all there, pfew!! Thanks a lot for your help.

I have a similar problem. Tried to run signal-desktop from terminal:

I've identified the root cause, there are vendored libraries that are not ABI compatible with our runtime. I've got a solution which we're testing before uploading.

Am I right in thinking we will have lost all or messages on the desktop along the way?
