You can overwrite manifest.json template in your templates. Just copy original one from pwa/templates/manifest.json and your content. Sadly if you need some custom config vars you can't add it without modification app_settings.py. You have to put your data to this manifest.json or modify original view response for manifest serving.
TO DO (in my opinion)
Adding possibility custom setting vars. So each one that starts with PWA_APP (or PWA_APP_CUSTOM) will be added to manifest.json context and treated as text. .
