We've had some discussion on the SFXRescue Mattermost server and decided on a fresh new possible way to implement this.
On the SIGHTSRobot side, each sensor plugin also contains the HTML and Javascript necessary to render the sensor's output on the interface. The service can send this to the interface when requested. This means the only plugin files required are installed on the robot, rather than having to install a SIGHTSRobot plugin for the sensor and a SIGHTSInterface plugin for rendering its output.

The alert is inserted into the page and runs. It's arbitrary, it could be JS received by a WebSocket.
Connor has proposed some changes to SIGHTSRobot to help with this. Watch #36 as well for updates!
