One possible work-around would be to split the frontend's manifest into an installation and a test manifests. After environment redeployment we can call the test manifest and avoid deleting the environment. That would even be faster that the current solution.

The work-around is now in place and provides a better solution to the originally addressed problem. However, we still need environment deletion to properly work in the case the manifest changed and we need to reinstall the environment. Therefore, this problem is only partially solved. However, it has now much lower priority because it is still pretty easy to just remove the environment manually instead of expecting that to happen automatically.
