Suggestion: Distribute as a Gem about toxiproxy HOT 5 CLOSED

I don't know why this was never a consideration. Yeah, I assume we can check in the binary to bin/ in the Ruby gem and then bump the versions of that. Is that what you were thinking?

Distributing platform-specific binaries in a gem isn't great though, isn't bin/ usually just executable scripts?

@sirupsen exactly. Would avoid updating the binary on bootstrap and would work with bundler.

@pushrax we can cross compile for mac and linux and run the appropriate binary.

We don't need to support os x before its open source, but by then the distribution will likely be different.

https://github.com/shopify/toxiproxy-ruby is now a thing. We're still distributing the binary like this. We'll work on it being a system package
