Hi @thisismygitrepo! Thanks for bringing this issue to light. Can you elaborate on what installation steps you took that led you here? Having the list of commands you executed for your fresh local installation would help a lot!

Currently, the issue I suspect is that the installation was done with pip install . instead of pip install -e . Make sure to use the -e flag.

I cloned the repo,

python3 -m venv goex-env /my_venvs/path
source /my_venvs/path/bin/activate
# cd to clone dir then goex then:
pip install -e .

as per official readme
except my venv lives somewhere else.

Nothing special, just create venv then a local installatoin from cloned repo.

@thisismygitrepo Can you try to see if this PR fixes your issue? Thanks for catching this bug when the venv is created in a different location.

It adds __init__.py in several directories that previously didn't have them

The changes are now live @thisismygitrepo , can you try to pull again, pip uninstall goex, and see if the issue remains when u reinstall?
